CALM Mediation is a Registered Charity (Registration No. 1101505) based in Calderdale, West Yorkshire and provides a free, confidential and impartial mediation service independantly from any other organisations

We aim to assist in neighbour disputes throughout Calderdale, but we believe strongly in empowerment rather than enforcement- so we don't impose or influence any decisions made by our clients, therefore, any agreements that are reached are done so by our clients themselves using Mediation as a tool to arrive at these agreements

CALM is very much a client-led organisation and has been operating in Calderdale since August 2003.

Traditionally, we have assisted in neighbour disputes, however, since December 2007, CALM Mediation has expanded to provide mediation to young people that are either homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. We are also considering other forms of Mediation as part of our expansion.

We boast the experience of our Mediators which includes some who have had experience of working with the United Nations...

Led by a strong Management Committee consisting of representatives from major Social Landlords, Calderdale Police and Calderdale Council, CALM Mediation plans to go from strength to strength in its development into new areas of Mediation, including Schools Mediation and Family Mediation.
